While working at Reign, often times my role shifted purely to Web Developer. This is one such instance where I wasn’t necessarily responsible for the layout of the site, but I was tasked with the execution of it.
Our office was on the corner of an active film studio lot, and we had the pleasure of having our landlord as our client. The film industry is often very fluid and the studio needed a site that could keep pace with the daily demands of operation, and that’s where Reign stepped in. Second Line didn’t necessarily need to attract new clients, considering how successful they already are, but more or less needed a resource for their tenants and the studio heads to be able to access the facilities available to them.
It’s not too often I get to step back entirely from role of designer and just get to build something and bring someone else’s vision to life, and honestly it was a fun project because of that. It allowed me personally to hear another designer’s process objectively and work within the context of someone else’s rationale.
